　　The tide rises， the tide falls，

　　Along the sea-sands damp and brown

' O! d( v, H: b　　Darkness settles on roofs and walls，

　　Efface the footprints in the sands，
　　And the tide rises， the tide falls.

　　Stamp and neigh， as the hostler calls;
